On May 6, 2025, the Metcalfe Family Medical Center officially opened its doors with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by community members, local officials, and healthcare providers. The event marked a significant milestone in expanding access to high-quality primary care services in Metcalfe County.

State Representative Amy Neighbors and State Senator Max Wise joined the celebration, recognizing the center’s importance to the health and well-being of local residents. “We all know that sometimes access to rural healthcare can be difficult. The addition of this clinic here in our community is such a victory for this town,” said Representative Amy Neighbors.  Senator Max Wise continued, “There’s nothing better than to be able to provide this for patients.”

Located at 612 W. Stockton Street in Edmonton, the Metcalfe Family Medical Center offers a wide range of primary care services for patients of all ages. Services include family medicine, geriatric medicine, adult and child immunizations, preventative medicine for adults and children, primary care for acute and chronic medical conditions, sick care, routine physicals, on-site digital x-rays and laboratory services, and same day appointment care.

The center is staffed by Dr. Sherry Jones and nurse practitioner Chasity Brown, who are dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. The facility is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

With its comprehensive services and convenient location, the Metcalfe Family Medical Center is poised to become a trusted healthcare resource for families throughout the region.
