CNA to CMA Program

  • No program cost to students (unless withdrawal from program)
  • Cost of course, textbook, fee of first exam ALL covered by Family Medical Centers
  • Agreement to be employed with Family Medical Centers for 2 years following completion of course, passing of exam & certification
  • Students complete varying modules each week, tailored to program and exam material
  • Full-time employee with Family Medical Centers; array of great benefits including insurance, PTO, 401K matching
  • Prepares students to further their education in the nursing profession or medical field
  • CNA-CMA positions are frequently updated via Indeed as clinics need CMAs
  • Anyone can apply but preferably those with CNA certification and/or CNA experience; must have high school diploma or education equivalent
  • Eligible candidates are selected for an interview by the Regional Director under which the clinic position is associated with. Interviews are then conducted by the associated Regional Director when available

  • 6-month (20 week) program consisting of modules focused on building necessary skills in the following:
    • Anatomy & Physiology
    • Medical Terminology
    • Clinical Experience
    • In-person Trainings
    • Personability
    • Strong and effective communication
  • Weekly check-ins with program staff to ensure student is progressing through the course in a proficient and timely manner
  • Time adjustments can be made to accommodate the needs of the student due to unique circumstances (sickness, life events, vacation, etc.)
  • Academic support from program staff on modules/quizzes if student seems to struggle with a specific topic or materials
